I think KB904660 is vague about the need to upgrade. Is MS
recommending all Sql Server customers upgrade to 8.00.2162 even if they
aren't experiencing any issues?

From what I have seen, they are saying that you should apply it if you
experience an issue that it fixes. This hotfix was tested a lot more than an
normal hotfix, but not as much as a service pack, so there might be some
gremlins.

I think KB904660 is vague about the need to upgrade. Is MS
recommending all Sql Server customers upgrade to 8.00.2162 even if they
